Introduction to Online journalism will be a rich course directed towards working journalists who are motivated to become leaders in their newsroom in this area. The course will be taught both from a theoretical and practical perspective. By placing heavy emphasis on practical online newsroom experiences, the participants are guaranteed to go back to their newsroom with practical skills useful for their work environment. The course will take the participants through the history of online journalism; its key characteristics; its impact on the newsroom; and specific strategies journalists can use to harness the potentials of online journalism. Participants will be expected to undertake online research, write and edit stories for publishing online during the course.
